Q&A with Luke
Which aspects of physiotherapy interest you especially?
I have a special interest in the management of running and football injuries, Low Back Pain, Thoracic Pain and Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction.
What are your sporting interests?
I am a keen runner and have taken part in seventeen marathons and counting! A high point for me was completing the Coastal trail series 7 marathons in 7 months challenge. Football has also been a big part of my life and am an avid West Ham fan for my sins!
What attracted you to Eastbourne and working at Sportswise?
I studied for my Physiotherapy degree here at the University of Brighton and felt at home in Eastbourne. I also met my wife on the same course so we decided to settle here. I knew of Sportswise and its excellent reputation and pestered them until they gave me a job! That was over ten years ago so I know that I made a good choice!
What do you like doing when you’re not working?
My young children keep me on my toes and we love spending time on the Downs. I really enjoy taking part in trail marathons. It’s a good excuse to travel and see the amazing countryside that we have here in the UK.
