Are there any particular interesting experiences you’ve had through your work?
The most interesting to date was providing physiotherapy to the athletes at the London 2012 Olympic (Aquatic Centre) and Paralympic (Athletes Polyclinic) Games. The highlight was witnessing Tom Daley win his bronze individual medal in the 10m platform final.
Which aspects of physiotherapy interest you especially?
I have a particular interest in joint pathologies and injuries – primarily knee and shoulder. I am also interested in lower limb biomechanics, strength and conditioning, manual therapy and dry needling (acupuncture).
What are your sporting interests?
In my youth I was a National level swimmer and member of the GB Surf Lifesaving squad. I returned to swimming this month with Team Bodyworks XTC. I also enjoy surfing, mountain biking and snowboarding.
What do you like doing when you’re not working?
Our children keep us pretty busy. In my remaining spare time, in addition to sport, I enjoy travelling and photography.
