Tom graduated from the University of Brighton in 2001 in Podiatry and is currently studying for a Masters in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery.
 He worked within the National Health Service for a number of years gaining experience with high risk patients, such as people with diabetes and foot ulcers,  as well as people with musculoskeletal injuries. He now works as a podiatrist as part of the Sportswise multi-disciplinary team.

Tom is also a Clinical Educator for The University of Brighton teaching on the Undergraduate Podiatry programme.  He works with members of the general public as well as Elite & Professional Sports people to help them be more comfortable, to reduce pain, and to improve performance in their chosen activities. He is the Kent County Cricket Club Team podiatrist.
 
He specialises in Biomechanics, which is the analysis of the lower limb including assessing gait – the way you walk and run. Treatments can include orthotics, ie special shoe inserts, alongside appropriate exercises for strength and flexibility. He can also perform routine chiropody care and nail surgery for deformed or in-growing toenails.  He is recognised by most major insurance companies.
