Will graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Southampton in 2002 and has spent the last fourteen years working as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the NHS. He has vast experience in treating people with a multitude of problems, including spinal, upper and lower limb complaints, using the most up-to-date research to ensure the best possible care is provided. Will is acupuncture trained and has completed post-graduate courses in manipulation and massage which he uses in combination with exercise therapy. Will’s aim is to “… get people back to what they love doing, as quickly as possible, and physically better than they were before”.
Will, the newest addition to our Physio team, answered a few questions:
What are your sporting interests?
I am passionate about all things sport but football, particularly Liverpool FC, takes up too much of my spare time! Prior to focusing on my career as a physiotherapist, I played football to a high standard, which I still enjoy doing whenever possible.
What attracted you to Eastbourne and working at Sportswise?
Shortly after moving to East Sussex, I quickly established where the highest standard physiotherapy was offered in the area. I was impressed by the integrated approach to patient care and the range of clinical services on offer at Sportswise therefore, as soon as a position became available, I jumped at the opportunity.
What do you like doing when you are not working?
I love spending time with my three children and exploring the beautiful Sussex countryside. I also cycle whenever I can and, since moving to East Sussex from London, I’m slowly adapting to the more hilly surroundings!
