Since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2012 Ian has been fortunate enough to work in a variety of clinical settings. From working in professional football with Brighton and Hove Albion FC, the British Army & Queens Gurkhas engineers to more recently as an Advanced Practitioner for Horder Healthcare. These environments have been highly challenging and pressurised with emphasis placed on returning injured players, soldiers and patients back to their optimum function as quickly as possible.

Ian has undertaken further post graduate academic training including a two year PG Cert in Strength & Conditioning at the University of St Mary's in London. This provided Ian with extensive knowledge for administering specialist exercise programming to the normal everyday person through to professional athletes. He has also completed his Bronze accreditation with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine.

As a keen sportsman himself (football and cricket) he has sustained a few serious injuries in the past that have kept him out of sport or work for prolonged periods of time, therefore he fully empathises and understands the frustrations that patients experience when they are in pain that is impacting on their daily living.

​

Ian has extensive experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries that are either acute or chronic in nature with particular interest in running, football and Crossfit injuries. Outside of work Ian enjoys spending time with his young family as well as competing for Crowborough AC.
