Well its been probably one of our busiest years to date at Sportswise. Coming out of a string of national lockdowns meant we saw a higher than ever caseload of patients to assess and treat. We would like to thank you all for your continued patience and understanding when you might have had to wait slightly longer for an appointment than we would have liked.
To help ease the load we are pleased to announce we have recruited a few new members to our team.
Firstly we have Ian Balmer that joins the physiotherapy team. Ian has been fortunate enough
to work in a variety of clinical settings. From working in professional football with Brighton and Hove Albion FC, the British Army & Queens Gurkhas engineers to more recently as an Advanced Practitioner for Horder Healthcare.
Ian enjoys treating all musculoskeletal injures that are either acute or chronic in nature with a particular interest in lower limb tendinopathies.
We also welcome Evi Valkova to the team. Evi has taken over the bulk of our massage therapy and currently runs clinics on Monday and Wednesday evenings every week. She can provide sports, deep tissue and relaxation massage.
Evi is also training to be a physiotherapist here at the University of Brighton.
And last, but by no means least, we have the new friendly face of Rosie Clark who has joined our reception team. Rosie has very quickly settled into her new role and is a great asset to the team.
Outside of work Rosie is very passionate about her role as a volunteer coastguard working locally at Birling Gap in Eastbourne.
